FCG Sweden evaluates the Impact of two UNICEF Sanitation Programmes in Ghana
The purpose of the evaluation is to determine the achievements and effectiveness of enhanced and accelerated WASH programmes in Ghana. The two programmes, part of the Government of Ghana-UNICEF WASH Programme established in 2012, has the overall aim to provide equitable and sustainable access to water and sanitation services to the least developed regions of Ghana. The evaluation consists of a desk review, interviews at the national and regional levels, as well as a household survey and field observation component.
To determine how effective, efficient and relevant the enhanced and accelerated programmes have been, the evaluation is collecting and analysing information on the WASH programming, implementation and results of programmes from both side, donors and population groups. The evidence generated from this evaluation will inform future WASH programme design and the prioritisation of future activities and strategies of the WASH programming, in Ghana and beyond.
FCG Sweden are supplying the Team Leader, Yaw Asante Sarkodie, the Community Development Specialist Judith Ofori, and Henning Göransson Sandberg as the Quality Assurance Director and Training Expert. The evaluation is carried out together with Ipsos MORI.
