SIPU International welcomes ITP participants to Sweden, 11-29 April
From 11 to 29 April, 56 business owners and representatives from state institutions, associations and chamber of commerce from five African countries will undergo training in Sweden, as part of two interlinked ITP:s on private sector development: Strategic Business Management (SBM) and Private Sector Growth Strategies (PSGS).
Three intense weeks will offer lectures, study visits, tutoring and peer learning on topics such as: business strategy formulation and communication, leadership for change, enterprise development support and programmes, internationalisation, financial analysis and corporate social responsibility. In addition to meeting Swedish business leaders here in Stockholm and visiting the urban ICT area in Kista, the participants will also travel to Dalarna, Sörmland and Västmanland to visit companies there and learn more about regional efforts to foster private sector development.
The programmes, which are organised jointly by SIPU International and Jarskog Konsult, are held in two editions. The African edition includes Liberia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe as invited countries for 2016. The Eastern European edition, which starts in September, includes Albania, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova and Ukraine for 2016. The programmes are currently in their fifth and final year.
