Evaluation of Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PFSALW) 2014-2018

The scope for this assignment was the work of the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PFSALW) during the period 2014–2018. Sida has been the main funder since the foundation of PFSALW in 2002.

The evaluation concerned three OECD/DAC criteria: PFSALW’s relevance, effectiveness and impact. It also concerns the relationship between members and the Secretariat.

The purpose of of the evaluation was to be an input to Sida’s appraisal of possible continued long-term support, for which Sida requested an external assessment of the relevance, effectiveness and impact of the PFSALW. The primary intended users of the evaluation were Sida’s Peace and Human Security Unit and the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons.
